What do I do if I want to change from a membership with no directory listing to one with a public directory listing (or vice versa)

Email Kathrine Parnell or  Amy Fehlberg to switch your membership type. Please note that it can take up to two weeks for this change to occur.

How do I update my public directory listing?

  • Go to the website main page (womeninprivatepractice.com).
  • Log in using the link on the gray bar on the right hand side. You can reset your password from the login page if needed. Your username is the email address you use on the website.
  • Once logged in, access your account by clicking on your name in the gray bar.
  • This section will also show your membership level (with or without a public directory) and renewal date. See the first question in this section if you would like to change your membership level. If you try to do it on your own you will be charged.
  • Click on "Edit Profile."
  • Add the required/desired information about your practice and services.
  • Click "Save."

How do I change my privacy settings and manage what the public can see?

  • Go to the website main page (womeninprivatepractice.com)
  • Log in using the link on the gray bar on the right hand side. you can reset your password from the login page if needed.
  • Once logged in, access your account by clicking on your name in the gray bar.
  • Click on "Edit Profile" and then go to "Privacy"
  • From there, you can decide which pieces of information are available to the public, to WPP members only, or to no one but you. Please remember, if you don't want a public profile I can change that for you. WPP actually has two versions of our directory - one available to the public, and one available to members only. To see the members only version you must be logged in to the website.

How do I change my email address on the listerv and for the website?

You can use the first set of steps above to edit your profile and update your email address on the website. If you need to change your email address for the listserv, please contact Kathrine Parnell or Amy Fehlberg

How do I register for an event?

All events are listed on WPP's main webpage at www.womeninprivatepractice.com. Scroll down to see events. (You'll still receive emailed event announcements, too).

To help us keep things running smoothly, registration will only be open for one event at a time. Once one event finishes the registration for the next will open the following day.

On the website, when you click on the event, if registration is open a brown "Register" box will appear on the left hand side. If you are logged in, all you should need to do is click on this box and confirm your email and registration. If you are not logged in you will need to provide your name, email address, and credentials. If you choose this option, be sure to check your email address carefully for errors. You must use the email address associated with your WPP membership. It is recommended you log in to register.

Not sure how to log in? There is a gray bar at the top of any page on our site, with "Log In" listed on the right hand side. Click that, and you will enter your name and password. If you have forgotten your password you can reset it from this page.

Once you register for an event you'll receive a confirmation email with instructions. The same email will be sent to you again the day before the event.

How do I cancel my event registration?

There are a limited number of seats for our events. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your reservation to make your seat available to someone else. To cancel, log in using the steps above. Select "My Event Registration" and click on the event. Click on the link reading "Already Registered." Scroll down and click "Cancel Registration."

My membership lapsed. How do I renew it?

Please do not create a new profile to pay your dues. Instead, follow these instructions:

  • Go to the website main page (womeninprivatepractice.com)
  • Log in using the link on the gray bar on the right hand side. you can reset your password from the login page if needed.
  • Once logged in, access your account by clicking on your name in the gray bar.
  • Under Membership Details you should see a brown square that reads Renew To...Click on that square to renew.
  • Your membership will not be automatically reactivated. Once you have paid your membership fee please email Kathrine Parnell or  Amy Fehlberg to have your membership manually reactivated. Please allow two weeks for this process to occur.
